Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are injected beneath the skin’s surface to smooth wrinkles and add volume and contour. It works by drawing in water and therefore augmenting the skin, thus reducing the wrinkle treated. Depending on the product used, results can last between one to two years.

Dermal fillers may be used to enhance volume and restore structural support, giving the patient a more youthful appearance. The aim is to make the face more harmonious and rejuvenated. For instance, the lips may be injected to improve their shape, size, symmetry and proportion. The cheeks may be injected to make a face more defined and attractive. An underdeveloped chin may be injected to make it appear more projected and proportionate.

After your treatment we will provide you with aftercare advice to maximise your treatment benefits and avoid any undesirable side effects.

  • You can resume normal activities, drive yourself home or return to work immediately after the treatment.

  • The results directly after the treatment should not be seen as the final results. In most cases over a period of 2 weeks results will gradually improve and become more apparent.

  • For 2 weeks after the treatment you are advised to avoid extreme heat (Sunbed or sunbathing) or intense cold.

  • No alcohol for 24 hours.

Generally, basic dermal filler procedures require no anaesthetic as the dermal filler contains local anaesthetic. We use very effective numbing cream prior to the procedure for ultimate comfort. It is simple and straight-forward, involving a few tiny injections directly into the skin, and takes between 15-30 minutes. Results can be seen immediately. Optimal results can be maintained over a long period of time through regular repeated treatments. The procedure varies from person to person depending on your requirements and the severity of the wrinkles that are being treated, in addition to the particular dermal filler being administered.

Yes. We only use products that are CE marked. As with any procedure there are minimal risks, which will be discussed prior to you consenting to treatment.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti-wrinkle injections are a simple, safe, and effective way to eliminate unwanted facial lines and deep wrinkles. They work to relax facial muscles making lines and wrinkles such as worry lines crow’s feet and frown lines less obvious.

This is a non-surgical treatment, the procedure is largely pain-free. If you are uncomfortable with needles you may experience mild discomfort from small injection sites.

Results last around 3-4 months. During the first year of treatment 3-4 sessions are advised to see optimum results.

Anti-wrinkle injections are suitable for patients that wish to reduce the appearance of forehead lines, frown lines or wrinkles around their eyes. We are often asked where anti-wrinkle injections should be applied to reduce the signs of ageing. This is different for every patient however the most popular places are:

  • The forehead/brow

  • Between the eyes

  • Sides of the eyes
